International Career Development National Peak Body Network (ICDNPBN)

This network of national careers organisations started in May 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to share the impacts of the crisis on their careers systems and discuss how best to respond. As well as the CDI, the ICDNPBN is made up of:

  • The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA)
  • The Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF), 
  • The Career Development Association of New Zealand (CDANZ)
  • The South African Career Development Association (SACDA)

International webinars

The group ran two international webinars in 2021 that were available for free to members of all the organisations as well as others working in career development around the world. These webinars were: 

  • Professionalising career development: History, Identity, CPD and Training. July 2021. Hosted by Jan Ellis, the webinar features Dr Mary McMahon, University of Queensland, Dr Siobhan Neary, iCeGS University of Derby and Dr Spencer Niles, College of William and Mary, Williamsburg.
  • Career Theory and Practice. October 2021. Professor Emeritus Wendy Patton, Queensland University of Technology, Professor Nancy Arthur, The University of South Australia, Dr Gideon Arulmani, The Promise Foundation, India.
