The last Student Conference took place online on Wednesday 27 March 2024 and the theme was 'How to put what you have learned during your training into practice and what the future holds for you'.

The new generation of career development professionals has a key role to play in the future of the career development sector. This conference was of interest, relevant and valuable to students undertaking any qualifications accepted for the UK Register of Career Development Professionals.

This Conference is designed to highlight the:

•    Breadth of areas of work in the career development sector
•    Putting career theory into your practice 
•    How your qualifications prepare you for working in the Career Development Sector 
•    Benefits of continuous professional development
•    Different means by which CPD can be undertaken 
•    Value of developing professional networks 

We have a line-up of expert keynote speakers and panellists who will focus on:

•    Identification of CPD needs
•    The value of knowing what your next steps are as a career practitioner
•    Identification of professional goals
•    Professional networking to support our clients and ourselves
•    ED&I in the Career Development Sector 

The workshop sessions offer additional opportunities to learn more about working in the different parts of the sector, the CPD opportunities available and the importance of professional networking.
