Jobs of the Future - new report
Jobs of the Future is a report based on analysis by Charlie Ball, a graduate labour market specialist at Jisc, and published by Universities UK. It estimates that by 2035 the UK workforce will need an additional 11 million graduates to fill jobs and that 88% of new jobs will be graduate level.
The five areas most in need of graduates will be technology, health, education, digital and creative skills. 61% of FTSE350 leaders said that creative thinkers will be essential to getting the most out of new AI tools, and most businesses are looking to work more closely with UK universities to fill future skills gaps. Over half expect people will need to retrain at least once during their career due to the pace of technology change.
