Tristram Hooley

Tristram Hooley is a researcher and writer specialising in career and career guidance. He is Professor of Career Education at the University of Derby and the Inland Norway University. He is also the author of the Adventures in Career Development blog

Tristram’s work focuses on the intersection of career, education, technology and politics. He believes that career guidance can have a profound and positive influence on the life of individuals and help to make the world a better place. But, to make this happen, governments have to put their hands in their pockets and pay! In the light of this, much of Tristram’s work is spent helping politicians to understand why career and career guidance are so important. 

He has published over 100 books, papers and articles on careers and related subjects.

Gill Frigerio

Dr Gill Frigerio is an Associate Professor in the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Warwick and leads on the Centre's qualifications in Career Studies and Coaching.  Gill's teaching and research interests cover theory and practice in career coaching; working with vocation and calling; women’s career development and researching career development practice.

Her prior experience is in career development practice and management. Gill's teaching and research interests cover theory and practice in career coaching; working with vocation and calling; women’s career development and researching career development practice. She has written on a range of career development practice issues for a range of audiences. She is particularly committed to increasing the diversity of the career development profession and ensuring it is an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone. 

Gill’s doctoral research developed a framework for incorporating vocation and calling into career development practice at the interface of faith and work. She enjoys working with new and experienced practitioners to help them develop their insights and critically evaluate their effectiveness, as well as managing their own wellbeing and career development.

Rosie Alexander

Dr Rosie Alexander is a researcher specialising in career guidance and development. She has published widely, with a focus on best practice in careers provision and on the geographical dimensions of career and career guidance. 

Dr Rosie Alexander currently holds a postdoctoral fellowship at Aarhus University in Denmark where she is exploring career guidance innovations in island communities. Previously she was a lecturer on the Career Guidance and Development programme at the University of the West of Scotland. Prior to her academic career she worked for over 15 years as a career adviser in both England and Scotland with young people in schools, community settings and universities.
