About Me

Private 1:1 Careers Sessions for students and graduates age 15- 25 based in the UK and internationally. Qualified, experienced, DBS checked and fully CDI registered Careers Guidance Practitioner with 10 years' experience in schools and colleges and 20 years' supporting students/graduates age 15-25. It is wholly focused around helping them to understand themselves, their interests, the global, national or simply organisational problems they would like to learn to work on and solve, the way they like to learn and be measured and the overall environments/careers that could suit them. We go through key areas of work so they are clear on the differences between private/public/charitable and NGO work and which could suit their own ethos, values and goals. From these discussions and homework we can short list key careers areas and start to talk pathways and subjects. Students feel reassured, their anxiety around choices falls away and they gain a sense of control - they are learning career management and self evaluation skills they will return to all their working lives. Key areas I support families and students with include: discussing, researching, prioritising and applying for A levels/Level 3 options, university courses/UCAS decisions and applications (including Personal Statement guidance), undergraduate placement year support, 3rd year Milkround support and graduate job search.
