The Ethics and Professional Standards Committee (EPSC) is a standing committee of the CDI. It advises the Board on issues concerning professional standards, professional development and ethics. Under the CDI’s constitution, the Board must gather feedback from the EPSC regarding any proposed constitutional changes, to ensure input from an ethical and professional standards perspective from across the CDI’s constituencies.

On the 20 October 2025, the Department for Education published their Post-16 Education and Skills White Paper, which outlines the government’s plans to reform the education and skills system in England and better meet the needs of the economy.

At the Inauguration ceremony on 11th December, outgoing President Pete Robertson introduced Ryan Gibson as the CDI’s new President.
